In an effort to encourage more impromptu connection within the app, Instagram Added New Note Reply Options and other engagement options to its inbox Notes feature.

Because it looks like other apps are winning over it. According to a recent Pew Research survey, Instagram is currently well behind TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube as the major platform of choice for teen users. Younger teens (ages 13 to 14) are the least likely to consistently use the app.
