In an effort to encourage more impromptu connection within the app, Instagram Added New Note Reply Options and other engagement options to its inbox Notes feature.

To begin with, there are video Notes. You can now add a 2-second looping video to notes you create in your Instagram Direct display. The video will play in your Close Friends’ or mutual followers’ Notes tray for a whole day.

Back in October, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri gave a sneak peek at the functionality.

You may add an animated aspect to your top-of-inbox prompts with video notes, as demonstrated in this example, which may encourage users to interact with your updates more.

Additionally, Instagram Added New Note Reply Options expanding the ways users may reply to Notes with GIFs, stickers, photos, videos, and voice.

Note viewers now have a variety of options to reply to a Note with within the revised response process, adding yet another way to improve the process.

Notes has proven to be a popular app, particularly with younger users, who are a crucial group that Instagram really wants to maintain as users.

Because it looks like other apps are winning over it. According to a recent Pew Research survey, Instagram is currently well behind TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube as the major platform of choice for teen users. Younger teens (ages 13 to 14) are the least likely to consistently use the app.
